Will Bynum To The Rescue

The Pistons had a very exciting game against the Bucks last night. Mainly because of Will Bynum.

Rip Hamilton, got tossed after picking up a second technical foul in the third quarter. Usually the Pistons leading scorer getting ejected would immediately spell doom for the Pistons. Yeah, that was before the Will Bynum era.

Will did an excellent job, stepping up for the absent Richard Hamilton. He knocked down 26 points in the 4th quarter. The most points scored in a quarter by a Piston. That's incredible! He finished with an impressive 32 points altogether.

The Pistons beat the Bucks 104-97. The Pistons are now tied with the Bulls for the seventh spot.

Allen Iverson Out For The Season

With Allen Iverson out for the season, some Pistons fans would probably judge A.I. and say that he's abandoning the team right before the playoffs because he's upset about coming off the bench, but A.I. actually have a valid complaint.

He says that coming off the bench with a back injury is hard because he have to sit which causes his back to stiffen up. Therefore Joe Dumars and A.I.'s agent think that it is best for A.I. not continue to try to play this season.

Still I know some people would say that he's just faking his injury because he doesn't want to come off the bench.

Well first of all, you can't blame Allen Iverson for not wanting to come off the bench. Rip didn't want to come off the bench either. He was just fortunate that Allen Iverson suffered an injury making it possible for him to ease his way back into the starting line-up. Lets not forget that.

Like Rip, A.I. is very competitive. You can't expect guys like them to want to come off the bench playing 17 or 18 minutes a night.

Can you blame Allen Iverson for being upset with his role? Look at how many times Coach Curry switched up the starting line-up. I count at least nine times this season.

do you think Allen Iverson is the only one complaining? The truth is Coach Curry did not allow his team to get into any type of rhythm.

I wish things would have turned out differently for A.I. He's had some unfortunate things happen to him this season. Dealing with a Rookie Head coach, an injury he's never had before, being placed on a bench for a guy who haven't being playing well, but remains in the starting line-up simply because he's younger...

I feel ya A.I...

Well after this ordeal, A.I. probably won't be back with Pistons next season. Not unless Joe D fires coach Curry, hire Larry Brown and place Allen Iverson back into the starting line-up.

Whatever happens I hope things turn out well for A.I. He shouldn't have to end his career like this.

Put Allen Iverson and Rasheed Wallace Back In Starting Line-up Please!

Coach Curry needs to stop with all the experimenting and put Allen Iverson and Rasheed Wallace back in the starting line-up.

Allen Iverson can play the point. The thing is, Curry just didn't allow him to get comfortable in that role. He's constantly switching things up.

The idea of Rip and A.I. not being able to play alongside each other was just an excuse to put Rodney Stuckey in the starting line-up.

Stuckey plays well, but he's not so spectacular that he should replace a guy like Allen Iverson in the starting line-up.

Stuckey have plenty of time to be a starter in this league, so why not enjoy as much of A.I. as we can?

In order to make Allen Iverson more comfortable coming off the bench, coach Curry has now placed Rasheed Wallace on the bench... Give me a break!

A.I. wouldn't be comfortable coming off the bench if the entire starting line-up came off the bench with him.

Curry needs to face the facts. Allen Iverson is not a bench player. He never was and he never will be.

Will Bynum, 'Dyess and Tay Help Lead Pistons To Victory

The Pistons are a very fun team to watch. This is definitely a new era anytime I find myself being entertained by the Pistons whether they're winning or losing. Before the Will Bynum, Allen Iverson Era, it seems like the Pistons loses were always ugly.

Now they're losing pretty and winning even prettier. Take the two games in Texas for instance. Those were two of the prettiest loses the Pistons ever had. Then the Pistons had a pretty win against the Clippers last night.

Yes, the Pistons had a great win over the Clippers despite missing four players. Will Bynum did a great job filling in for Rodney Stuckey who was out with the Flu.

The Pistons were down 12 points in the first half but started cooking in the second.

Tayshaun Prince had a career high 12 assists, Antonio Mcdyess was doing everything to help the team win as usual and Walter Herrmann knocked down some key shots when the Pistons needed it. It was a team effort.

I'm really liking the addition of Kwame Brown and Will Bynum. Will is a great little weapon to have. He gets to the hoop almost effortless. Then he have the nerve to be able to dunk. Yep, the little guy can dunk. He makes the team so much more entertaining to watch. Most importantly he's helping the Pistons team win.

The Pistons beat the Clippers 1-8-90.

'Dyess And Captain Rip Help Smash Raptors

The Pistons played in another overtime game, but only this time they won. The Pistons beat the Raptors 99 - 95, handing them their seventh straight lost.

Captain Rip Hamilton and Antonio Mcdyess have been doing a great job leading the team. Against the Raptors, Rip had a carrier high 16 assists to go along with 24 points. 'Dyess had another double-double, 13 points and 15 rebounds. I'm so proud of them. GO PISTONS!!!

Pistons lose In Overtime

The Pistons lost in overtime against the New York Nicks Wednesday night. It's a shame too because Antonio Mcdyess's career 21 points and 22 rebound effort was wasted. bummer!

Rodney Stuckey Visits A Local Middle School

One day after helping to secure a 98-94 win over the Orlando Magic, Rodney Stuckey visited Remus Robinson Middle School in Detroit to talk to the students about the importance of eating well and exercising. Stuckey, and the NBA, have teamed up with Body By Milk to bring the Get Fit By Finals program to schools nationwide. Get Fit encourages students to be active for 60 minutes a day, and to make good nutrition choices, such as drinking three glasses of milk a day.

“Exercise and good nutrition helped me achieve my goal of playing in the NBA and maintaining the high-level of fitness required to stay at the top of my game,” says Stuckey, a 2007 first round draft pick by the Pistons. “Along with other top athletes, fitness and nutrition experts, I’m excited to help teens reach their own personal best and help them Get Fit By Finals.”

Pistons Beat The Nuggets Yet Again

The Pistons beat the Nuggets Tuesday night, despite another excellent performance by Chauncey Billups. I think he busted like 34 points on the Pistons or something. He had like 21 points in the first half. Almost identical to the game he had in Denver.

The fans gave Mr. Big Shot a long Standing ovation before the game. That was great. What I didn't like was the sign that read the "Canswer" in reference to Allen Iverson. I believe A.I. deserves more respect than that.

Anways, at the end of the game Rip was walking and talking to Chauncey with his jersey pulled up to his mouth, so you couldn't read what he was saying.

I can just about imagine though. Can't you?

It probably went a little something like this...

Rip: "They put me on the bench Chauncey. Me. That's crazy right? I mean, can you believe that? I was this close Chauncey. I was this close. Maaaaaan.... you just don't know."

Meanwhile Chauncey was probably thinking...

"That's it, I'm turning my phone off."

Don't Blame Allen Iverson

Don't blame Allen Iverson for the Pistons eight game losing streak. If anything, blame it on the Pistons moping around and not playing with any spirit, because they didn't like the coaches decision to put Rip Hamilton on the bench. Yeah I said it!

If I didn't like coach Curry's decision to bench Rip Hamilton, then I know Rips teammates didn't like it either.

For six straight games the only Pistons playing with energy and spirit was the two guys who desperately want to win the championship, and that's Allen Iverson and Antonio Mcdyess. I don't know what you other Pistons fans saw, but that's what I saw.

It appears that by the seventh and eighth game, the Pistons started to feel sorry for Allen Iverson because of how hard he was trying to win, so they decided to play with more heart. Unfortunately Allen Iverson got injured and in the following game, Rasheed lost his cool and the Pistons ended up losing both games.

The important thing that I saw in those two games was how well the Pistons can play with Allen Iverson, when they make and effort to do so.

Some people want to follow the trend of blaming everything on Allen Iverson, but like I said before, when Rip Hamilton was out due to injury, the Pistons won seven straight, and that was with Allen Iverson and Rodney Stuckey sharing the court, but as soon as coach Curry announced that Rip would be coming off the bench, the Pistons started playing like they didn't like each other.

I will always be a Pistons fan, but I'm also not afraid to say that sometimes, their attitudes stink. When Chauncey Billups was traded to Denver, he mentioned how the Pistons deliberately wouldn't play right, whenever they were mad at the coach or didn't agree with the coaches decisions.

That certainly might explain why the Pistons won seven straight games when Rip was injured, but lost eight in a row when coach Curry announced that Rip would be coming off the bench.

The Pistons are definitely a better team with Rip in the starting line-up, but to lose eight in a row with Rip on the bench is absolutely ridiculous.

Knowing the attitude of the Pistons, I wouldn't put it pass them to play as awful as they possibly could to show how much they disagreed with the coaches decision. Heck, they treated Larry Brown like garbage and he was the best coach that they had.

For those with amnesia, let me remind you that the Pistons complained every time Larry Browns name was mentioned in the media, as if coaches don't deserve any credit for their teams success. That's right! So, I blame them for chasing away the best coach that they ever had.

Chauncey Billups said that he feel sorry for Allen Iverson... Yeah, well I do to.

I was wrong to single out Rodney Stuckey, and blame him for the Pistons losing streak. If anything, the careless, non-nonchalant attitude of the Veteran ring leaders, probably made him feel guilty for replacing Rip in the starting line-up, therefore causing him to not be able to concentrate.

If you notice, now that Rip is back in the starting line-up, the Pistons are all smiles. They're back talking to one another. They act like they like each other and most importantly their winning.

Does that mean that they don't like Allen Iverson? No, nor does it mean that they can't win with Allen Iverson. It's just that Rip means a little more to them...

Let me explain...

If Rip would've became upset enough to leave and play elsewhere, they're would only be two people left from the original Pistons championship team. I'm sure that's all they could think about.

I just hope Allen Iverson can understand that. I say, if A.I. can put up with the Pistons crazy mood swings then he's keeper. I just hope he gets the opportunity to play alongside Rip Hamilton. I would love to see that.

I'm On To You Know Rodney Stuckey

The Pistons finally won against the Magic last night after losing eight in a row. I wasn't too impressed because it was about time anyways. I mean, they can't lose for ever, Right?

Rip Hamilton is back in the starting line-up, and as usual he brought a lot of energy, but I saw signs of the Pistons coming back to life even before Rip re-joined the starting line-up. Unfortunately, in one of the games where the Pistons were playing very well, Allen Iverson got injured.

The following game the Pistons were even more close to winning, but Rasheed Wallace lost his temper over a no-call, and the team once again had to play without one of their key players. Both games the Pistons could have won.

For those who don't like Allen Iverson and want to say that the Pistons won because he wasn't playing, how do you explain the Pistons winnig seven in a row while Rip Hamilton was out due to injury?

Was Rodney Stuckey deliberately playing the worst that he could possibly play to help Rip Hamilton get back into the starting line-up?

Well I don't know if it was intentional, but Stuckey, may have been playing poorly because he felt bad about replacing Rip in the starting line-up.

The reason why coach Curry refused to put Rodney Stuckey back on the bench is obviously because he wasn't convinced that he couldn't play well alongside Allen Iverson, and I'm no longer convinced either.

I think coach Curry simply gave up trying to make Rodney play right with Allen Iverson in the starting line-up.

Then when Rip Hamilton started complaining about his role, he just completely gave up and let Stuckey, and Rip have what they wanted. Anything to stop the losing streak from growing.

Rip A Slick Dude

I'm glad that Rip Hamilton made his way back into the starting line-up, but I can't help but to notice how slick this dude is.

Rip knew that the Pistons eventually had to start playing better after they got over the initial shock of him being placed on the bench. Unfortunately Allen Iverson got hurt, right as they started playing better.

This was the perfect time for him to make his move. If you notice Rip was very cooperative and didn't complain the whole time about coming off the bench, or how the team was losing with him on the bench, until Allen Iverson got injured.

Rodney Stuckey Vs. Allen Iverson

Rodney Stuckey is a great player, but he tend to disappear against teams that play good defense, whereas Allen Iverson can't be stopped. That's why, in my opinion, Allen Iverson should be in the a starting line-up as opposed to Rodney Stuckey.

Curry Puts Allen Iverson On Bench For Rip Hamilton

After loosing eight games in a row, Michael Curry decided to bench Allen Iverson and put Rip Hamilton back into the starting line-up. He says that this is his final move, but I don't think so.

I don't believe that Rodney Stuckey, who is just in his second season in the NBA is ready to lead the team as a starter. It's too much pressure for him right now. Eventually, Curry is going to have to put Rodeny back on the bench where he's comfortable.

The only reason why coach Curry haven't put Rodney Stuckey back on the bench yet is because coach he have this silly notion/theory that Allen Iverson and Rip Hamilton can't play well together, simply because their style of play is different. I've seem Rip Hamilton and Allen Iverson play alongside each other, and they seem to play well together. So what's the problem?

It was actually the three guard line-up of Rodeny Stuckey, Allen Iverson and Rip Hamilton that wasn't working. A young guy like Rodney Stuckey who is only in his second season in the NBA, simply could not handle that type of talent all at once.

So the problem is not a lack of chemistry between Allen Iverson and Rip Hamilton, the problem is coach Curry's decision to insert a point guard in the starting line-up who simply isn't ready for the task.

I understand him wanting to insert some young guys in the starting line-up, but he needs to come to the realization that the young guys just aren't ready.

There's been a lot of talk about the Pistons poor record with Allen Iverson on the team, but the Pistons lost eight in a row with Rodney Stuckey in the starting line-up, and there's no talk about that.

I wish I was the coach. If I was the coach, I would put Rodney Stuckey back on the bench where he's comfortable and let Allen Iverson due his thing alongside Rip Hamilton.

Yes, Allen Iverson can play the point guard position, but as usual coach Curry have the wrong notion about that too.

Rodney Stuckey Is Playing Sucky

It was a close game, but the Pistons lost to the Spurs last night.

Yes, coach Curry decided to leave Rodney Stuckey in in the game, despite the fact that hes been playing awful.

Had Curry sat Stuckey on the bench, the Pistons probably would have won. I kept waiting for coach Curry to call Arron Afflalo into the game, but he opted to leave him on the bench the entire night.

Whatever psychological issues Rodney Stucky is having, the Pistons honestly do not have time to worry about it right now.

If it was up to me I'd let him work it out on the bench and start Arron Afflao instead. Atleast for the next few games.

Then if I like what I see, I'd promote Arron Afflalo to the starting lineup.

What the Pistons need right now is an established leader, and I believe that Allen Iverson and Arron Afflalo are fully capable of being co-leaders of this team, if given the chance.

What I like about both Arron Afflalo and Allen Iverson is that no one have to tell them to be aggressive.

They are equally hardworking and competitive by nature and therefore give the same effort every game.

That's why I can envision those two doing an great job on the court together as starters and leaders of the team.

Coach Curry, Give Arron Afflalo A Chance!

I see Coach Curry took my advice and put 'Dyess in the starting line-up. That was a smart move. However, he needs to make one more move to make this team better, and that is, put Rodney Stuckey back on the bench.

Sure, Stuckey had a couple of great games scoring 30 and 40 points as a starter, but a couple of great games doesn't make the Pistons a better team.

Lately, Rodney Stuckey has been invisible. I don't believe he's quit ready to be a starter in this league. Like Amir Johnson, I believe he's more comfortable coming off the bench for now.

If they think that the starting lineup would be too old if they placed Rip back into the starting line-up, then how about this... give Arron Afflalo a chance to start.

Ironically, Coach Curry gave all of the young guys a chance to start this season but Arron Afflalo. The only young guy who has been consistent this whole season.

I think Arron Afflalo can handle being a starter. 1. He's very mature for his age, 2. he's a gym rat and 3. he's very competitive... all the things that make a great leader. I bet he would do a great job playing alongside Allen Iverson.

Afflalo could be a defensive leader for the starting unit, just like Jason Maxiell is the defensive leader for the bench.

Allen Iveron Cut His Hair

Pistons Finally Win One In Over Time

The Pistons had to force an overtime against the Bucks Saturday night. Yep, somehow the Bucks had the lead in the second half, despite Rasheed Wallace knocking down seven three's. Incredible!

Nevertheless, the Pistons finally got a win in overtime. So, it was bittersweet ending.

Rasheed Help Pistons Beat The Timberwolves

The Pistons went on a 21 - 7 run in the second half and beat the Timberwolves Wednesday night. Rasheed Wallace was definitely the X factor. He was very active on offense and defense, something we haven't seen from him in a while. He finished with 25 points. I was happy to see him have a great game. I think the Pistons are finally starting to get into a groove.

I still think Allen Iverson should run the point and Rip Hamilton should return to the starting lineup. I like the way those two play together. In fact I feel more comfortable when Rip is on the floor with 'Dyess, Sheed, A.I. and Tayshaun Prince. Perhaps 'Dyess should also be a starter.

Coach Curry, I have Much Better Solution...

The Pistons are going to need a bigger line-up when the playoffs come right? Here's my solution:

Instead of having Rip Hamilton sit early in order to bring Amir Johnson off the bench, I would have Rodney Stuckey sit early.

First of all, unlike Rip Hamilton, Stuckey came off the bench last season, and is therefore used to playing with the second unit.

Second of all, Rodney Stuckey is a natural point guard and therefore can play well with any unit whether the first or second.

While Rip Hamilton plays better along side Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace.

That to me seems to be the perfect reason why Stuckey should sit early instead of Rip.

When it's time for Stuckey to sit, and time to for Amir to take the floor, I would make either Rip Hamilton or Allen Iverson play the point. Preferably Rip Hamilton, since he's a lot taller and therefore could see over the top of the defense.

Even if your scared to have Allen Iverson play the point, it wouldn't be for the entire night, just until Rodney Stuckey is back out on the floor.

So what do you think about my solution coach Curry? Pretty good huh?

Pistons Rally To Beat Nuggets

I knew that the Pistons was going to beat the Nuggets Friday night. Here's how...

1. Allen Iverson's shot was off in the first half. 2. Rodney Stuckeys back tightened up on him to the point that he had to go to the Locker Room and didn't return in the fourth. 3. Rasheed Wallace and Rip Hamilton were out with injuries. 4. The Pistons couldn't make their shots from the free throw line. 5. Chauncey Billups was knocking down shots from left to right. Yet the Pistons were only down by ten in the first half.

In the second half The Pistons didn't have to do anything spectacular to win. All they had to do is tighten up their defense, continue to rebound the ball, move the ball a little more than they did in the first half, and make their shots at the free throw line.

Chauncey Billups did a great job for the Nuggets. I was proud of him. He had 30 points. However the Pistons, Allen Iverson, Tayshaun Prince an Arron Afflalo were the Big Shots in the second half. Allen Iverson, after having shooting poorly night in the first half, knocked down shots when it counted.

He did a great job finding Tayshaun Prince when he was open, and Arron Afflalo was eight for eight at the free throw line. The game was close in the fourth, but the Pistons took the lead and got the win beating the Nuggets 93-90.

I am so proud of the Pistons. Imagine how they would've played if they were all healthy.

Pistons End Sunday Losing Streak

The Pistons Sunday curse appears to finally be over. After losing 6 straight games on Sunday, the Pistons finally won one on their seventh try. Their victory over the Clippers Sunday night pushed their winning streak to seven. Wow! Seven must be their lucky number.

Although Antonio Mcdyess had sore ribs, a sore thigh and a dislocated pinky finger, he managed to collect 15 rebounds for the Pistons.

At the end of the fourth quarter Allen Iverson's shot was goal tended. The Pistons beat the Clippers 88 - 87.

Stuckey Leads The Pistons With 38 Points Against The Kings

Rodney Stuckey isn't becoming a star. He is a star. Perhaps the Pistons can win a championship with a small line-up after-all. If Stuckey keeps playing like he's been playing, anything is possible. The crowd was going wild, chanting his name and everything. It was fun to watch. Rodney scored 38 points.

Amir had a career high 14 rebounds and 10 points. Allen Iverson and Tayshaun Prince each had 23 points. Despite Rasheed Wallace, Rip Hamilton and Antonio Mcdyess out with injuries, the Pistons have now won six straight. It's going to be hard for coach Curry to decide who's going to start come play-off time.

I guess when The Pistons are going against smaller teams, he'll start Rodney Stuckey and when their playing against bigger teams he'll start Amir Johnson. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. It's going to be interesting.

Amir Is Doing A Great Job In The Strarting Line-Up

Amir Johnson started out this season as a starter, however coach Curry decided to place him back on the bench because of inconsistent play.

He then placed Kwame Brown in the starting line-up for a few games before deciding to go with a smaller line-up with Rodney Stuckey at the point.

Due to a groin injury rip Hamilton is out and Amir Johnson is back in the starting line-up and he's really stepped up and is doing a great job.

The problem now is, figuring out who will be in the starting line-up and who will come off the bench.

Rodney Stuckey can still be just as effective coming off the bench. However if Rodney is placed back on the bench, would that take Allen Iverson and Rip Hamilton out of their groove?

Probably, but I'm confident that Allen and Rip can easily bounce back.

A.I. can still be just as effective at point guard, but Coach Curry was just a little anxious to get things going a little faster, and that's why the starting line-up changed so often.

He should have first of all given Amir a chance to get used to playing as a starter and also used to playing with Allen Iverson. Second of all, he should have given A.I a chance to get adjusted to the team.

Amir Johnson can be just as effective as Rodney Stuckey in the starting line-up, but some players just need a little more time adjusting than others.

The bottom line is, The Pistons are going to need bigger bodies in the starting line-up especially come playoff time. In other words when Curry gave Amir the first crack at being a starter, he made the right choice, and he should've stuck with it.

The Pistons don't really need those many scorers in the starting line-up. So It's best that one of them come off the bench to even things up.

Rip Hamilton and Allen Iverson is certainly out of the question. Neither one would like coming off the bench, and unless coach Curry want to start World War three, he shouldn't even think about it.

Rodney Stuckey would be the likely choice.

First of all, he can be just as effective coming off the bench. Second of all, he'll add some scoring to the second unit. And third, this is only his second season in this league. So if Curry decides to bench Rodney, he'll still have a chance to a be a starter in this league someday.

Rodney Stuckey Drop 40 On Bulls

Rodney Stuckey, after playing just seven games in the starting line-up dropped 40 points on the Chicago Bulls Tuesday night. That's impressive but not surprising.

If you saw how he played last year coming off the bench as a Rookie, then you know what he's capable of doing as starter.

Rodney was just too much for the Bulls to handle. He just stayed aggressive and attacked them from the beginning to the end. The Bulls had no answers for him.

During the fourth quarter, when Rodney had 38 points, former Piston Lindsay Hunter asked him if he was going for 40. He answered by knocking down two free throws after being fouled moments later. That was awesome!

In first half Allen Iverson injured his groin. He didn't play in the second half.

The Pistons still have to make some adjustments. That 12-0 run by the Bulls didn't make any sense.

Why can't the Pistons win on Sunday? The Pistons lost to the Hawks Sunday afternoon making them 0-6 on Sunday. They are 14-4 Monday - Saturday.

What on earth are the Pistons doing on Saturday that makes them lose on Sunday? Partying til they drop?

Nah!!!... The Pistons played very hard against the Hawks, they just couldn't get the win. The Pistons are seriously going to have to find a way to win on Sunday because this is getting ridiculous.

Coach Curry's new starting line-up seems to be a working out just fine. The Pistons have now won three in a row with Rodney Stuckey running the point. Allen Iverson is the Allen Iverson that were use to seeing. Tayshaun Prince is doing well at Power-foward, Rip Hamilton is doing great at small foward, and Rasheed Wallace doesn't seem to have any complaints about the starting line-up going small. So all is good. Once the Pistons get into a rhythm, especially with Antonio Mcdyess back on board, this team is going to be great.

The Pistons beat the Wizards 88 - 74.

Don't tell me the Wizards only won 4 games this season. Yikes !!!

Rodney Stuckey In Starting Lineup

After the Pistons suffered their fifth Sunday loss of the season against the Nicks early Tuesday, coach Curry decided to tinker with the starting lineup. Rodney Stuckey will start along side, Allen Iverson, Rip Hamilton Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace.

Rodney Stuckey is a great player, but I'm afraid that the starting lineup will be too small. With that said, I can't wait to see Dyess back in a Pistons uniform. Although coach Curry made it known that Dyess will not start, I predict that once the Pistons get Dyess back, their defense and offense will become more steady and Kwame Brown will return to the starting lineup.

The Pistons Beat The Spurs

I feel really good about the Pistons win over the Spurs Tuesday night. It was a complete team effort. What I enjoyed about it the most was seeing Rasheed Wallace come to life after receiving a technical foul. 'Sheed heated up and almost single handedly erased the Spurs ten point lead. That was very fun to watch. The Spurs once led 60-50.

Tim Duncan was completely dominant in the first half, beating Rasheed 18-2. However the second half was a different story. Rasheed Wallace knocked down 17 points. Tim Duncan only scored one point in the fourth quarter.

Allen Iverson had a great game as well. I was happy to see A.I. playing like himself... getting steals, penetrating, breaking down defense and making layups. When A.I. isn't playing like himself its actually more of a mental thing. The games that he didn't play well in were most likely the games where he was more focused on fitting in than playing like himself.

Once Allen Iverson stop trying to fit in and just be himself, he'll find that he fit in very well. The A.I. that showed up Tuesday night is the A.I. that I'm used to seeing. One that is scrappy and very focused on getting the job done. That me feel really good.

The bench did another phenomenal job. I loved watching the Tony Parker and Arron Afflalo matchup. Arron's defense on Tony Parker was spectacular. He did an excellent job stopping Tony from penetrating and making layups at will. Love that shocked look Tony had on his face. I know he thought he was invincible.

Allen Iverson was the only person who did not show up to practice Thursday morning. It was Thanksgiving so I can understand why he didn't want to show up, but sometimes you have to do things that you don't want to do. Allen Iverson made a poor decision not show up for practice, especially with his reputation. Not showing up for practice is not how you gain the trust of your coaches or teamates. It seems like he would atleast try to make a good impression especially being new to the team. Doesn't seem like A.I changed to much...

The Cavaliers dominated the Pistons in the first half Wednesday night. The second half however a was different story.

Arron Afflalo gave the Pistons a much needed spark. Like the Veteran ex-Piston Lindsay Hunter, Afflalo's energy is just incredible.

With the help of Arron Afflalo, the Pistons came alive in the second half, ambushed the Cav's and whipped the pants off of them. Rasheed Wallace knocked down some three's and the rest is history.

The old Pistons team, did not have anyone who can penetrate and attack the paint, now they have four. With the addition of Allen Iverson, Will Bynum, Rodney Stuckey, and Arron Afflalo, the Pistons have plenty of weapons who can go inside and attack the paint. In fact, let me add Mr. Point/Forward, Tayshaun Prince to the list. I mean really, What can't Tayshaun do?

Check out these stats! Last night against the Cavilier's, the Pistons scored 44 points in the paint to the Cavilier's 22. Now, That's impressive! Especially considering the fact that the Cav's have a human freight train on their team (Lebron James).

I'm glad to see that Allen Iverson is getting use to his teammates. He seems to be clicking very well with Tayshaun Prince who knocked down 26 points and had 11 rebounds against the Kings. I'm sure that within a few more games, Rip Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace will start clicking with A.I. as well. The missing piece to the puzzle right now is Antonio Mcdyess. Yeah last nights game against the Celtics was ugly. The Pistons couldn't make a shot if their lives depended on it, but how many nights are the Pistons are going to have like that? Not too many. Think about it... They were playing in front of their fans for the first time in six years without their captain Chauncey Billups. Clearly their nerves got the best of them. Yeah, it doesn't help when you boo.

I feel sad about Chauncey being traded because I know that he wanted to retire as a Piston and I feel bad for Mcdyess because he desperately wanted to win a championship. My heart goes out to both of them.

On the other hand, I'm little excited about Allen Iverson joining the team. I've always been a fan of A.I. He's a great player and he gets along well with his teammates. Allen Iverson will play in Wednesday nights game against the Raptors.

Walter Herrmann, Great Addition to the Pistons

I've been a fan of Walter Herrmann since he joined the Pistons last season. Anyone who missed his performance against the Wizards Saturday night, should still agree that he's a great addition to the team. What Walter Herrmann showed in the few minutes that he was given last season, with Flip Saunders as the head coach, is that he's good both offensively and defensively. Saturday night with Michael Curry as head coach, Walter showed the same thing. Saturday night, Walter Herrmann made some great plays, played great defense, knocked down some crucial shots and helped build the Pistons lead over the Wizards. He had 16 points. The bench had an impressive 55 points altogether. The Pistons beat the Wizards 117 - 109.

Hopefully the new coach will continue to allow Walter Herrmann to play more minutes this season. I'm really excited about what he brings to the team. Yeah!!!

Pistons Win First Game Of Season Against Pacers

The Pistons beat the Indiana Pacers 100-94 in Wednesday nights game opener. In the first quarter, the Pacers were on a roll leading the Pistons 12-4, but Tayshaun Prince soon put a stop to that starting with a dunk between two defenders. It was looking good from there. Every time the Pacers tried to make a surge, the Prince was there to stop it.

The second unit had a couple of show stoppers as well. Arron Afflalo and Walter Herrmann forced turnovers with their sticky defense and knocked down some pretty shots. I'm really excited about Arrons offense this season. In game one he fearlessly knocked down shots and wasn't afraid of the 3 point line.

The approach that the Pistons are taking this season is to play like they never won a championship... If only they would have thought of that sooner...

Game 2: Pistons Beat Celtics, Celtics Lose For The First Time At Home

I knew that if the Celtics were going to lose at home, it was going to be to the Pistons. Yeah baby!

In case you haven't heard or seen it for yourself, the Pistons are an excellent road team. In fact I feel like if the Guards Chauncey Billup's and Rip Hamilton would have played in game 1, as well as they did in game 2, the Pistons would have won both road games against the Celtics and had a 2 - 0 lead.

However, I think losing game one and winning the second game on the road is actually better for the Pistons. That way they won't feel that this series is going to be a cake walk.

After the Pistons victory over the Celtics in Boston Thursday night, The Pistons now have a chance to put the pedal to the metal and win on their own court... I'm confident that they'll get the job done.

Now lets talk about Rodney Stuckey...

I am so happy that the Pistons finally have someone, besides Lindsey Hunter, who can back up Chauncey Billups. Both Lindsey Hunter and Rodney Stuckey, did an excellent job, but I was really impressed with the Rookie. Rodney scored 13 points and what I really love about this kid is how he attacks the basket. Every time I see Rodney Stuckey play, I applaud Joe Dumars. Go Pistons!

After being down to the Pistons by 10 points at half-time Monday night, the Magic came out dropping 3's on the Pistons. They looked kind of scary shooting 7 for 7. What made even more nervous was the fact that three of the Pistons bigs, Maxiell,'dyess and 'Sheed were all in foul trouble, but the Pistons prevailed winning their second straight game against the Magic.

Well, for those who didn't see Tuesday nights game, The Pistons beat the 76ers 98 - 81.

Chauncey Billup's put up 14 points and dished out 5 assists in the first quarter. Chauncey finished with 21 points and 12 assists, helping the Pistons beat the 76ers to take a 3 - 2 lead.

Rookie Rodney Stuckey seem to have had more confidence in game 5, knocking down 6 points and dishing out 4 assists in 14 minutes. In the fourth quarter he made a sweet pass to Antonio Mcdyess for a dunk, after catching Rip Hamilton's blocked shot.

Jason Maxiell had 6 points 11 rebounds and three blocks. Rasheed Wallace, 19 points 7 blocks. Tayshaun Prince, 17 points 4 rebounds.

Arron Afflalo did an excellent job defensively... I don't know why Flip didn't play him sooner...

Anyways, the Pistons have a chance to end this series Thursday night and I think they'll get the job done.

Game 4: Pistons Beat 76ers, Series Tied 2-2

The Pistons were down by 6 at the end of the 1st quarter, down by 10 at the end of the 2nd, and 14 in the 2nd half. But did I worry?

No.

I didn't worry because I saw that the Pistons were playing the right way... Once I saw Chauncey Billup's aggressively driving to the basket, I knew the Pistons were good. It didn't matter if he missed, he kept going until the shots started going in. This is how Chauncey must continue to play in order for the Pistons to win this series. Mr. Big Shot finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.

Tayshaun Prince had another great game. He was very active, going after rebounds and fighting for loose balls. Tayshaun led the way with 23 points, 4 steals and 6 rebounds.

Rip Hamilton shot lights out. He finished with 18 points scoring 12 of his 18 in the fourth quarter. He also took a charge from Andre Iguodala.

Antonio Mcdyess was excellent despite having to wear a face mask due to a broken nose. Neither the face mask nor the broken nose seemed to affect him. 'Dyess came off the bench and shot 5 for 8 and finished with 10 points, and 4 rebounds in 20 minutes. Jason Maxiell started in his place.

Rasheed Wallace had a double-double, 20 points and 10 rebounds.

In second half of Sunday nights game, the Pistons were the quicker team, out hustling the 76ers and beating them every spot. The Pistons beat the 76ers 93 - 84.

What the Pistons need to do now is stop waiting 'till they're down a game or two in this series to decide to get up. It's time to stop playing around with this young team, 'cause the 76ers are certainly not playing around with them. They seriously want to win this thing.

The Pistons need to put their feet to the pedal and burn some rubber.

The Pistons led a balanced attack against the 76ers in game 2 Wednesday night. The entire team was aggressive offensively and defensively.

I love the way Tayshaun Prince played. He was very assertive making most of his points in the paint. He finished with 16 points and was responsible for helping the Pistons get that big lead over the 76ers.

Antonio Mcdyess acted like he owned the court. He had a double-doulbe, 16 points and 12 reounds. Rasheed Wallace played great once again. Sheed finished with 16 points as well.

I was very happy with the way the guards played. Chauncey Billups did a solid job, although his stats doesn't necessarily show it. He was aggressive like he suppose to be and finished with 9 points and 6 assists. Rip Hamilton played like a maniac. He was very aggressive and led the Pistons with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

I really enjoyed watching Rip. I don't know what it is about him, but he makes me laugh when he gets upset, just like Rasheed. Perhaps its that sad puppy dog look he has in his eyes. Some people are just unintentionally funny. Anyways...The referee hit him with a tech for arguing a call and he argued his way straight to the bench. That was hilarious.

Rodney Stuckey, who had the Rookie jitters in game one, must have put on his big boy pants for game 2. He did a great job and finished with 12 points and 4 assists. I'm really proud of the Rookie.

Amir Johnson had 8 points and 4 rebounds in 14 minutes. He was great on help-sided defense alongside Jason Maxiell. That's always fun to watch.

Pistons Lose Game 1 Against 76ers

The Pistons did not play their usual game against the 76ers Sunday evening. It looks like their plan was to get the front court going early, particularly Rasheed Wallace who did an excellent job. However the guards Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton were too passive and therefore never got it going.

Everyone knows how important Rasheed is to the team. Without him the Pistons would not have won the 2004 Championship, but Sundays game proved that even with Rasheed playing extremely well, the Pistons can not win without contribution from the guards.

You can actually read Chauncey's body language and tell whether he's going to be passive or aggressive. Hence, the moment he took the ball up the court, I knew the Pistons were in trouble.

I think Chauncey got too caught up in th idea of letting Rasheed lead?

It's important to get Rasheed going, but Chauncey has to remember that theirs no greater leader on the team than the Point Guard. what Chauncey needs to do if he expects his team to win the Championship, is to continue to play like hes been playing all season, and that is...getting everyone on the team going, including himself.

Rip Back, Maxiell A Monster, Pistons Beat Wizards

The Pistons game against the Wizards friday night was very entertaining. There were a number of reasons why the Pistons were so fun to watch...

First of all Rip Hamilton was back after missing five games with a hip injury. He didn't score in the first quarter but he contributed nicely with assists. When Rip finally shook off the rust he scored nine points in the 3rd quarter, to go along with his 10 assists. One point shy of a double-double. Yep Rips back baby!

Jason Maxiell was a beast after getting a day off from practice. He had a season high 28 points, 8 rebounds and two blocks. Rasheed Wallace and Antonio Mcdyess was loving it... giving each other Hi-5's on the bench. Yes, Jason let every one know that he's ready for the playoffs...

The Pistons Young Blood Run Show Against Timberwolves

For those who came to the game thinking they were were going to see Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton...April Fools!!! Yes, with the Playoffs near Flip Saunders decided to give the trio some rest.

The Starters looked more like this...Tayshaun Prince, Antonio Mcdyess, Theo Ratliff, Jarvis Hayes and Rodney Stuckey.

With only two regular starters playing for the Pistons, The Timberwolves were dominating. Yes, they made more runs than someone with a bad bout of diarrhea. They led by 12 in the first quarter. In the second quarter their 12 point lead grew to a 21 point lead and the Pistons were looking more and more hopeless.

Finally in the second quarter, Amir Johnson stopped the Timberwolves run with a block. The Pistons then went on a 14 - 0 run cutting the Timberwolves 21 point lead to 5 at the end of the second. The guys who played part in the run was the bench, Walter Herrman, Juan Dixon and Cheikh Samb, along with Rodney Stuckey who did a superb job filling in for Chauncey Billups.

In the third quarter the Timberwolves got the runs once again, but the Pistons fought back and was only down by 7 at the end of the third. In the fourth quarter, the Pistons got off to a great start by scoring 7 straight. First Juan Dixon scored back to back points, cutting the Timberwolves lead to three, then Amir Johnson made a three point play tying the game 72 - 72. Later in the fourth, Rodney Stuckey tied the game 80 - 80 after driving to the basket for another three point play.

With the clock winding down and the game tied 88 - 88, Amir Johnson made another great play, stealing the ball and handing it off to Rodney Stuckey who knoced down a point, giving the Pistons their first lead. From then on, Rodney took over the game Chauncey Billups style, knocking down big shot after big shot and driving hard to the basket. Rodney's last four points was made at the free throw line. That was very exciting to watch, because you can see how much he's learned from the veteran Chauncey Billups. The Pistons beat the Timberwolves 94 - 90.

Rodney stuckey led the way with 27 points and 3 assists in 33 minutes. Amir Johnson had 5 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 30 minutes.

Pistons Shut Down Lebron James And Beat Cavaliers

The Pistons led through all four quarters against the Cavs Saturday night. They shot 60% and their defense was spectacular. They even did the unthinkable... Yes, they completely shut down Lebron James, limiting him to just 13 points, and 4 - 14 shooting.

One Piston responsible for shutting down Lebron was non-other than the fearless Rookie Arron Afflalo. In fact, the Pistons didn't just limit Lebron, they made a full defensive effort shutting down the entire Cavaliers team. New comer Theo Ratliff did such a great job defensively, that Zydrunas Ilgauskas was afraid to even look at the basket. All of the Pistons played great and they weren't even fazed at the fact that Ben was lurking underneath the basket... A true sign that the Playoffs is near...

Tayshaun Prince had 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 assists. Anotnio Mcdyess had a double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Maxiell had 13 points and shot 6 - 8.

The Pistons beat the Cavaliers 85 - 71.

The Pistons Rookies and youngsters were great in the game against the Heat last night. I am so proud of them. Arron Afflalo who filled in for Rip Hamilton ( bruised hip ) was great. I think he played his best game so far last night against the Heat. He's really shown his maturity and he seems to have really grown as a player. I'm very excited about that. He did a great job defensively against Rickie Davis, tapped in a missed shot and even had a nice two handed dunk that resulted in a three point play. Arron finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds as did Jason Maxiell. Arron also had 2 steals.

The Pistons scored 73 points in the first half, had 42 assists, and beat the Nuggets 136 - 120.

7 Piston scored in double figures. Rip Hamilton led the Pistons with 24 points, Rasheed Wallace scored 21, Chauncey Billups finished with 14 points and 10 assists. Jason Maxiell, 18 points and Jarvis Hayes had 17, Rodney Stuckey, 11 points, six assists.

The Pistons bench outscored the Nuggets bench 56 - 37.

I'm proud of the Pistons. Aren't you?

Rasheed Wallace didn't play because of a sprained ankle, and Rip Hamilton was ejected in second quarter after receiving two technicals, but the Pistons still got the win.

Tayshaun Prince once again was the hero, filling in for his missing teammates. First he filled in for Chauncey, playing a point - forward role, when Chauncey was out taking care of personal matters. Last night, he filled in for 'Sheed and Rip.

He was excellent, being very aggressive and doing everything he can do to keep the Pistons in the game. He led the Pistons with 28 points.

The reserves were also great and that's another reason why the Pistons stayed in the game. Rodney Stuckey had 13 points a steal and a block. He also bravely took two charges from Ronaldo Balkman. Well, actually Ronaldo just ran him over. At least that's what it looked like to me. I don't know Ronaldo, but he had me thinking..."what on earth was wrong with him?" "Is his equilibrium messed up?" Watching him was hilarious.

Juan Dixon, filled in for Rip. Yes, I just can't give Tayshaun all the credit. That wouldn't be right. Juan did a nice job as well filling in for Rip. He had nine points and four assists.

Newly acquired Theo Ratliff started for Rasheed. He had five points, five rebounds and two blocks. He also did a great job guarding against the mammoth sized Eddy Curry. Yep, he's going to a huge help for The Pistons down the stretch. I'm really excited about that.

Amir Johnson had six points, five rebounds and three blocks. He's been steadily doing great, which I'm very happy about. Jason Maxiell scored 12 points. The reserves outscored the Knicks', 46-25.

Rodney Stuckey started for the first time, filling in for Chauncey Billups who had to go back home for a personal matter...I wonder what the emergency was... The last time a Piston stayed home for a "personal matter", Rip Hamilton welcomed his first son into the world. I hope everything is alright with Chauncey.

Rodney Stuckey did a nice job filling in for Chauncey as did Tayshuan Prince who played the Point - Forward position. Rodney finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Tayshaun led the way with a very impressive 22 points and 10 assists. New comer Juan Dixon got some valuable playing time. He was great shotting 6 for 7. He had 15 points and 6 assist in 23 minutes.

Rasheed Wallace seem to really be enjoying himself here lately. He doesn't seem bored at all... That's the 'Sheed I love to watch. He had 13 points in the first quarter and finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Rip Hamilton was excellent with 14 points and 5 assists. The Pistons had 28 assists altogether. They also had 13 fast break points.

Walter Herrmann put on a nice show in the 4th qurater. He made some pretty layups that got the crowd and the Pistons bench Oohing and Ahhing. He also had a nice dish to Jarvis Hayes in the 4th. The Pistons beat the Clippers 101 - 73.

The Pistons victory over the Clippers Saturday night was their 4th win by 30 or more points. It was also their 13th win by 20 or more points. They finished the West trip 3 - 1. Go Pistons!

What I can't understand is why Flip Saunders didn't play Amir against the Jazz, after playing him for 16 games straight. Heck, if The Pistons ever needed Amir it was last night against the Jazz...

Honestly, I don't understand Flip sometimes. Doesn't It seem like, if The Pistons keep getting their butts kicked by the Jazz, that he would try something new? Like playing Amir perhaps.

The funniest site I've seen in a long time, was Allen Iverson chasing Rip Hamilton around... Its funny because Little A.I. is fast, and he looked like he was running faster than Rip, but some how Rip managed to lose 'em every time... That was hilarious.

O.k, The Pistons whipped Phoenix's butt so bad, that I don't even have any words...I'll just say this...Giving up Shawn Marion was a huge mistake. The Suns are not even half the offensive threat that they used to be.

The Pistons leading by as many as 36 points and wining by 30 against the old Phoenix Suns, would have been more than unthinkable...It would have been impossible.

The Pistons pounced on the Bucks early in Friday nights game and whipped their butts. Chauncey Billups who finished with 21 points and 12 assists, apparently still had the All-Star game on his mind. In the 1st quarter he threw the ball behind his back, but somehow made it curl in front of him to Tayshaun Prince who was headed to the basket. That was sweet!

Then in the third quarter he made a bounce pass behind his back to a trailing Jason Maxiell for a dunk, that resulted in a three-point play. In the second quarter Amir Johnson and Rasheed Wallace both went up for a block and both got a piece of it. The block was given to Amir who finished with an amazing 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steal in 23 minutes. I'm really liking Amirs hook shot. He made a couple of those over Andrew Bogut.

Rasheed Wallace was very active. He set the defensive tone early and finished with an impressive 17 points 6 rebounds 3 blocks and a steal.

The "'Dyess Man" Antonio McDyess scored the first point for the Pistons in the first quarter. That was new and refreshing. 'Dyess was very active as usual. He finished with 15 points. Rip Hamilton had 16.

Tayshuan Prince who finished with 10 points, made a great play in the first quarter, knocking the ball off of Michael Red as he was falling out of bonds, giving the Pistons the possesion.

In the second quarter, The Pistons scored 10 straight and outscored the Bucks 32 - 11. The pistons led by 25 at the end of the 3rd.

In the fourth quarter the two new comers Juan Dixon and Walter Herrmann entered the game and made plays for each other. That was fun to watch. During an 18 - 3 Pistons run in the fourth quarter, Juan passed the ball to Walter for a dunk. The two of them also showed off their 3-point shooting skills. First Walter knocked one down, then Juan. The Pistons beat the Bucks 127 - 100.

Well, congratulations Cavaliers, or should I say Lebron James! You finally acquired Ben Wallace.

I must warn you though... Don't be too giddy! As good as Ben is, he was only good for the Pistons. Ask the Bulls, they'll tell you...Last year during the playoffs, whose Locker Room was Ben hanging out in for nearly an hour, after his team had lost to the Pistons? all give you a hint...It wasn't the Bulls.

Heck, he didn't even pick his fro out for them until the media complained about it. In fact, when Ben was asked about his former team the Pistons, he said "I miss my guys" despite the fact that he was then a member of the Bulls.

You see, Joe Dumars built the entire Pistons team around Ben Wallace, and did an excellent job finding guys who understood him and therefore could deal with his personality...That's why it worked.

Ben is something else... One of a kind... The type of guy that you build around if you want to be successful. Not just throw into the mix. That's what Joe Dumars understood.

Ben knows that he made a mistake by leaving the Pistons, and you'll soon find that you made a mistake by trying to be like the Pistons. It's a great compliment though!

I have to admit, I'm one of those spoiled fans the Pistons keep talking about. Yep, the Pistons won 10 in a row, and sadly I didn't even realize it until it was announced. I'm thinking... 10 in a row? that's nice. Keep winning Pistons! Keep winning!

The Pistons lose to the magic after winning 10 in a row and I'm thinking... thats it, I'm not watching the Pistons anymore... Now they're going to make Dwight Howard think that he's all that, with that cheesy grin on his face... ugh!!! No they didn't have the nerve to lose to the Magic! Why are they doing this to me? Amir Johnson And Jason Maxiell Combine for 10 Blocks Against Pacers

Amir Johnson and Jason Maxiell played like monsters Wednesday night against the Pacers. Amir just about blocked everyone who attempted a shot. He had an unbelievable 7 blocks to go along with his 8 points and 9 rebounds.

Amir was very active. In the second quarter, he fought hard for a rebound while lying on the floor until the shot clock ran out. That was funny.

Jason Maxiell was excellent. He had a double-double 11 points and 11 rebounds to go along with his 3 blocks.

Rodney Stuckey has been playing consistently well. He had 10 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds against the Pacers Wednesday night. The Pistons had 20 assists altogether.

Chauncey Billups Saves Game Against Hawks

The Pistons blew a 15 point lead against the Hawks Tuesday night and found themselves in a grind it out type of situation in the 4th quarter. Luckily for them, Chauncey Billups made some big shots In the 4th.

He scored 12 of the Pistons last 15 points after being 0 for 8 through three quarters. 6 of his 12 points came from 2 3-pointers. He scored 10 in a row in the fourth quarter and finished with 16 points and 8 assists.

Rodney Stuckey did an excellent job against the Hawks, making it possible for Chauncey to rest for 18 minutes and therefore have enough energy to be "Mr. Big Shot" in the fourth quarter. Rodney finished with 12 points and 2 assists in 18 minutes.

Rasheed Wallace was on fire early against the Hawks scoring 15 points in the first quarter. 9 of his 15 first quarter points came from three 3-pointers. Rasheed finished with 21 points.

The Pistons Beat The Bobcats 94 -90 for their 9th straight win.

Tayshaun Prince act like he was in a 3-point shooting contest Sunday night against the Bobcats. In the first quarter he knocked down 4 3-pointers and had 14 points. He made his 5th 3-pointer in the third and finished with 21 points and 6 rebounds.

The Pistons bench was solid once again, scoring 21 points in the first half. Jason Maxiell made a three point play when he dunked and drew a foul in the first quarter. Then in the second quarter, Jason made a great pass to Rodney Stuckey who cut to the basket for a layup.

It wasn't a play called by the coaches. That was just good recognition between the two players. They are definitely going to need that type of chemistry from the second unit if they expect to win the Championship. So, I was really excited about that.

Latter, in the second quarter Rodney Stuckey lobbed the ball to Amir Johnson for a dunk, giving the Pistons a 23 point lead. The Bobcats were only able to cut the Pistons lead to 17 at the end of the second quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the bench continued making great plays. First Rodney Stuckey made a great pass to Jason Maxiell who threw down a monster dunk and drew the foul for a three point play. The entire bench got up for that one.

Then after the Bobcats scored 5 straight, Jason Maxiell stole the ball and passed it to Rip, who passed it to Jarvis Hayes, who knocked down a shot, putting the Pistons back up by 19. The Bobcats fought back and cut the Pistons 19 point lead to 12, however the Pistons went on an 11-2 run sparked by Rip Hamilton, pushing the Pistons lead back up to 23.

During that run Rodney Stuckey leaped in the air, stole a pass and ran to the basket for a layup. Then Jarvis Hayes knocked the ball away and passed it to Rodney, who threw an alley-oop to Amir Johnson for a dunk.

Walter Herrmann And Primoz Brezec got in on the dunk fest as well. As soon as those two entered the game, Primoz lobbed the ball to Walter for a dunk.

The bench continued to make great plays. Amir saved the ball from going out of bounds, then passed it to Arron Afflalo who knocked down a shot. Then Amir made a block at the other end. Then it was the guards turn to have a dunk contest. First Rodney Stuckey made an impressive dunk, then Arron Afflalo.

Rasheed Wallace will replace Kevin Garnett in All-Star Game

The NBA announced today that Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace will replace Celtics forward Kevin Garnett on the Eastern Conference team in next Sunday's All-Star Game in New Orleans.

Pistons president Joe Dumars confirmed that Wallace would replace Garnett, who's missed the last seven games for Boston with an abdominal strain.

The announcement was made by the commissioner’s office after Garnett missed his seventh consecutive game with an abdominal strain. Celtics coach Doc Rivers, who will coach the East in the Feb. 17 game in New Orleans, said Garnett will not play until the team returns from the break.

“He’s out until after the All-Star break,” Rivers said after the Celtics beat the San Antonio Spurs 98-90 to improve to 5-2 since Garnett was injured.

Chauncey Billups And The "Zoo Crew" Trample Over Trailblazers

Chauncey Billups was on a roll against The Trailblazers Friday night. He scored all of his 17 points in the first quarter. He also had 5 assists, including a sweet pass to Anotnio McDyess on a Pick And Roll.

In fact he got the team rolling so well and so early, the game was practically decided in the first quarter. The Pistons led by nine at the end of the first.

The Pistons bench was excellent once again. The "Zoo Crew" as Chauncey dubbed them, started the second quarter with a 10 - 0 run, sparked by Jarvis Hayes who knocked down a three.

The Bench made some great plays and shared the ball beautifully in the second quarter. Jarvis had a nice pass to a back cutting Arron Afflalo who scored underneath the basket. Rodney Stuckey threw an Alley-oop to Amir Johnson for a dunk.

Moments latter he drove down the lane and passed the ball to Amir for another dunk. Amir fought hard for a rebound while lying on his back. When he finally got the ball in his possession, he passed it to Rodney, who passed it to Rasheed Wallace, who knocked down a three.

The young fellas played some great defense as well. In fact, Arron Afflalo and Amir Johnson played such tight defense on Jarret Jack that he was forced to commit a back court violation. He had no where else to go.

There was absolutely no drop-off whatsoever with the young guys playing the entire second quarter. In fact they turned a 9 point pistons lead into a 24 point Pistons lead at half-time. Rasheed, acting as the leader was the only starter on the floor in the second quarter.

Rip Hamilton, who only played for 22 minutes, finally scored his second point in the 3rd quarter. Tayshaun Prince finally scored his first point in the 3rd quarter, when Rip threw him an Alley-oop pass for a dunk.

Moments latter, with what looked like a replay, Rip threw another Alley-oop to Tayshaun for another dunk. The Pistons ended the third quarter with a 24 point lead.

In the fourth quarter, Jason Maxiell made a monster block that looked like he was spiking a volley ball, and the rest is history. The Pistons beat The Trailblazers 91 - 82.

Rip Hamilton scored 8 of his 10 points in the third quarter. He also had 4 assists. Tayshaun Prince scored all of his 9 points in the third quarter. The Pistons had 26 assist.

The Piston Bench are averaging 25.4 points this season. They scored 39 points against The Trailblazers Friday night and outscored Their bench 28 - 4.

The Pistons had a hard time getting up energy to play against the Miami Heat, who had lost 19 of their last 20 games, but they got the win. Rasheed Wallace was excellent, he led the Pistons with 26 points and 9 rebounds.

He had a nice dunk that led to a three point play in the 3rd quarter. In the second quarter Rodney Stuckey, faked out his idol Dwayne Wade by pretending to pass the ball to his teammate Rip Hamilton, when Dwayne turned his head, Rodney went for the shot. He missed but it was great play by the Rookie. Dwayne laughed about that one.

Rip Hamilton, who had 18 points hit a buzzer beater to tie the game 48 - 48 at the end of the second quarter. The Pistons led by eleven at the end of the 3rd. In the fourth quarter, The Heat cut The Pistons eleven point lead to one, but the Pistons were able to maintain their lead and got the win. The Pistons beat the Heat 100 - 95.

Antonio McDyess had a double-double, 10 points and 12 rebounds. Chauncey Billups had 15 points and 10 assists. Rip Hamilton had 18 points. Tayshaun Prince had 14.

Shaquille O'Neal Traded to Phoenix Suns

Shaq was traded to the Phoenix Suns for Marcus Banks and Shawn Marion Wednesday. The news was announced before The Pistons played The Heat Wednesday night. Now, I know Shaq is going to dominate every where he goes, but I don't think The Suns is a good fit for him. I just can't picture him and Steve Nash on the same team... Anyway, who cares! I'm Liking Rip Hamilton As A Combo Guard

Rip Hamilton didn't score in the first half against The Mavericks Sunday afternoon, but he still contributed nicely with 6 assists and 4 rebounds. What I love about Rip getting more assists this season is that it proves that he can play both the Shooting guard and Point guard positions. So its like having two Point guards on the floor at the same time. Therefore whenever Chauncey is being double-teamed like he was last year during the playoffs, Rip can free him up by stepping in and playing the Point guard position. Also, since Rodney Stuckey is a combo guard, he can play the Shooting guard position, while Rip play the Point, whenever Chauncey is resting. Hence, The Cavaliers won't easily be able to shut down The Pistons like they did in the Playoffs last year, by "cutting off the head of the snake" as their coach put it.

Tayshaun Prince And Rasheed Wallace Lead Offense Against The Mavericks

It wasn't the three-time All-Star guards, Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton who did most of the scoring for the Pistons this time. In fact, Rip Hamilton was scoreless the entire first half, but still contributed nicely with 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

It was the forwards Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince who did the majority of the scoring for the Pistons, Sunday against the Mavericks. In fact those two nearly scored all of the Pistons 1st and second quarter points.

Tayshaun was the first to score for The Pistons, then Rasheed quickly made a block on the other end, before knocking down a three. Tayshaun made a block, then Rasheed knocked down another three...

Rip didn't make his first shot until the 3rd quarter. He finished with 10 points, to go along with his 6 assists and 4 reounds.

Rasheed Wallace finished with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Tayshaun Prince finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Chauncey Billups had 9 points. Rookie Rodney Stuckey was great once again with 11 points.

Young Blood Help Pistons Beat Lakers

The Pistons got off to a slow start against the Lakers Thursday night. However they quickly heated up and shot 10 straight, after being 0 for 5.

Rip Hamilton who scored 8 straight in the first, had 12 points and 3 steals in 10 minutes. The Pistons had 7 steals in the first quarter and led by 7 at the end of the 1st.

The young guys, Arron afflalo, Amir Johnson and Rodney Stuckey were excellent. In the second quarter, they gave The Pistons a huge spark off of the bench, and helped build a 17 point lead.

Lets face it, The Pistons were just toying with The Lakers in the second quarter. First Rodney Stuckey drove down the lane and finished with a dunk, that had the crowd oohing and aahing, then Rasheed Wallace stole the ball, passed it to Rip, who passed it behind his back to a trailing Tayshaun Prince for a dunk, then Rodney Stuckey stole the ball and passed it to Arron Afflalo, who passed it to a trailing Amir Johnson for a dunk.

Apparently the referees decided that The Pistons was having too much fun, because the next thing I know they were being called for fouls left and right. With the help of the referees, The Lakers were able to cut the Pistons 17 point lead to 7 at half-time.

In the 3rd quarter The Pistons offense became stagnant, and it was The Lakers turn to heat up. The Lakers scored 12 straight and led by 5 at the end of the 3rd.

In The fourth quarter, Flip Saunders went to his bench and once again had some success. With the help of Jarvis Hayes, Rodney Stuckey and Amir Johnson, The Pistons went on an 8 - 1 run and re-gained the lead.

Rodney Stuckey and Amir Johnson both made some great plays in the fourth quarter. First Rodney stole the ball then drove straight down the lane and scored, then he set Rip Hamilton up nicely for a shot.

Then Amir Johnson blocked Kobe Bryants shot on the other end. The Young guys were excellent both defensively and offensively, but it was veteran Tayshaun Prince who made the winning shot.

Rasheed Wallace Punished The Pacers in Tuesday nights game.

He scored 11 points in the second quarter, after not scoring at all in the first, shot 10 for 18 and finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. What I love the most about how Rasheed played, is that he wore the Pacers out in the paint. He should really make an effort to play like that every game.

In the second quarter, Amir Johnson really made some great plays. He set Rasheed up nicely for a dunk. I was really excited about that. Then in the fourth quarter, he had a nice put back dunk himself, when Jason Maxiells shot bounced off the rim. So, kudos to Amir who had 6 points, 6 rebounds to go along with his 2 assists.

I think the main reason why Joe Dumars didn't re-sign Chris Webber, who is now joining The Golden State Warriors, is because he wanted to give Amir Johnson, who signed an $11 million contract some playing time. In Saturdays game against the Magic, Amir Johnson had 2 points, 4 rebounds, and three blocks in 9 minutes. So, imagine what he could have done in 20 or 25 minutes! When given the time, Amir Johnson has the potential to be a nightmare for opponents, especially playing alongside Jason Maxiell with that help side defense.

Barring an unexpected change of heart, sources said, Webber will accept the invitation from former coach Don Nelson and former teammate Chris Mullin to come back to the team with whom he won NBA Rookie of the Year honors in 1994, only for Webber to force a trade to Washington some six months later when his prickly relationship with Nelson collapsed.

"I hope that it happens to be quite honest with you," Nelson told Bay Area reporters Sunday before the Warriors hosted the New York Knicks. "I think our team needs it."

Nelson made his own surprising and triumphant return to Oakland last season, guiding the Warriors to their first playoff berth since they went 50-32 in Webber's rookie season in 1993-94. The Magic was like a tiny speck in the Pistons rear-view mirror the entire game. Well, more like a smashed bug on their wind-sheild. Yep, The Pistons stepped on the gas and there was no turning back.

Get this!

In the first quarter The Pistons shot 75 %, they only missed five shots and scored 39 points. Rasheed Wallce was the leading scorer in the first quarter with 13 points. He fouled out of the game with 15.

Rip Hamilton was the player of the game once again shooting lights out. In fact he showed the Magic his Magic, the power of Telekinesis. If you ask me, that's the only explanation for how he managed to catch two rebounds, in one game, while sitting on the floor... Rip finished with a very impressive 32 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.

Chauncey "Batman" Billups showed off his "super powers" as well. In the 3rd quarter, he jumped like he had a springs attached to his feet, and pulled down a rebound in the middle of two defenders. Gee golly Batman! I didn't no you had hops like that. Chauncey finished with 21 points and 6 assists.

Amir Johnson who got some valuable playing time, was very active as well. He was the sub of the game with 2 points, 4 rebounds, and three blocks in 9 minutes. Way to go Amir! Tayshaun Prince dished out 8 assists, to go along with his 9 points and 3 rebounds. Antonio Mcdyess had another double-double; 10 points, 13 rebounds.

The Pistons were just clicking on all cylinders. The Magic only had 10 turnovers, but the Pistons scored off of all of them. They had 20 points off of 10 Magic turnovers.

It was all Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton in the first quarter. In the first quarter Chauncey and Rip combined for 21 points. Chauncey had 13 points, Rip had 8. at the end of the first quarter, The Pistons led 25 - 23.

In the second quarter, it was the youngsters Amir Johnson and Arron Afflalo who came up big for The Pistons. They were part of a 12 - 2 run that put the Pistons back in the lead, and in control of the game.

The Pistons were down by four with the 76ers leading 36 - 32. First Tayshaun Prince scored cutting the 76ers lead to two (34 - 36), then Amir johnson scored tying the game 36 - 36. Then Rookie Aaron Afflalo scored giving The Pistons back the lead. The Pistons led 38 - 36.

Then it was Arron again. First he made a steal, then he knocked down a shot pushing The Pistons lead to four. The 76ers cut the Pistons four point lead to two. Tayshaun scored pushing the Pistons lead back up four. Then Arron knocked down another shot giving the Pistons a six point lead. The Pistons led 44 - 38. The Pistons led by nine at the end of the second. They led 50 - 41.

In the 3rd quarter The Pistons 12 - 2 run grew into a 24 - 7 run. They led 70 - 63 at the end of the third.

In the fourth quarter however, The Pistons offensive went cold. At one point they shot 1 for 11. The 76ers offense wasn't any better. They shot 0 for 7. Nevertheless, The Pistons got the win, snapping a three game losing streak.

Unmotivated Pistons Lose To The Bulls Again

I'm not trying to take anything away from The Bulls, but they're no tougher an opponent than any other team The Pistons beat this season.

And fatigue is not an excuse for the awful way that The Pistons played last night. Whenever The Pistons meet with The Bulls, The Pistons don't even seem to be interested in playing. I mean, where's the passion?

I think they're suffering from some type of physiological issue. They seemed to have enjoyed playing against The Bulls, until their friend and leader Ben Wallace decided to join sides with the enemy. Now I guess its just not fun for them anymore...

My brother works at Cobo Hall and he said he saw Tayshaun Prince there. He said he also over heard some people talking about an incident involving Tayshaun Prince.

They said that a man approached Tayshaun and asked him for his autograph, and he told the man "get the explicit out of my face."

Now it could still just be a rumor, but according to my brother, the people sounded very sincere. They said that the man was very hurt by the way that Tayshaun treated him.

I'm not taking up for anybodies bad behavior, but I know it has to be very hard being a celebrity and having people approach you every time you step out into the street.

And I also understand how frustrating it is when people take your niceness as a sign that you're a push-over. Hence, if it is true about Tayshaun, he was probably just trying to let a very persistent fan know that "hey I'm not a push-over."

On the other hand if "Tay Tay" doesn't want a bad reputation, he really should try to deal with folks and his anger a little better than that.

First of all, let me say this...I'm a Pistons fan, but my brother for some reason is a Laker's fan. So, he's always teasing me about The Pistons.

Anyways, he calls me and says "I got some dirt on the Pistons". So I'm all scared... I'm like "what"? He says "a man wanted Tayshaun Princes autograph, and he told the man "get the explicit out of my face." So I asked him "did you witness that?" He's like, "no I heard some people talking about it."

Rip Hamilton was monster in the game against The Raptors Tuesday night. He scored 39 points and had 6 assists. He made 24 of his 39 points in the second half. He scored 7 straight and made 16 of 22. Antonio McDyess was monster as well. He had 9 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals and 2 blocks. The Pistons won 101 - 87.

Ex-Piston Carlos Delfino had a great home-coming game against his former team. He scored 14 points, all in the second quarter. 9 of his 14 points came from behind the three point line. He was 3 for 3. He also sparked a 13 - 2 run which cut The Pistons 13 point lead to 1. The Pistons led 51 - 50 at halftime.

Pistons Beat Bobcats In Overtime

Well, thanks to the schedule saying that the game start at 8:00, when it actually started at 7:30, I missed the entire first half...Great! This isn't the first time this happened to me, but anyways...

What I would like to know is...

Where the heck do the Bobcats get their energy?

Just the night before, they lost in a double overtime game against the Cavaliers, yet somehow they managed to muster up enough strength to go into overtime again against The Pistons last night. So that's two games in two nights plus triple overtime.

The Pistons beat The Bobcats 103 - 100, but you have to give the Bobcats credit for actually having enough energy to even put up a fight. Did I also mention that they were playing without their point guard? Yeah! That's insane!

Anyways, I was glad to see Ex-Piston Nazr Mohammed out they're getting the minutes he deserve. He did great job. He had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. His friend and former teammate Tayshaun Prince had 2 blocks as well to go along with his 22 points. Chauncey Billups had 27 points and 7 assists.

Lindsay Hunter Help Pistons Beat The Spurs 90 - 80

The Pistons may not have shown up against The Mavericks, but they certainly showed up to play against The Spurs Thursday night. The Spurs had the lead at first. They led by five, but the Pistons came back and scored 16 straight. At the end of the first The Pistons led 30 - 15.

The Pistons led by as many as twenty points in the second quarter, and had a seventeen point lead at half-time. They led 54 - 37. In the first half, The Spurs had zero fast break points, The Pistons shot 63%, and Tony Parker only scored 2 points.

In the third quarter, The Spurs managed to climb their way back into the game, and cut the Pistons seventeen point lead down to nine. At the end of the third The Pistons led 67 - 58.

In the fourth quarter, The Spurs then cut the Pistons nine point lead to seven. However, Flip Saunders wisely put in Lindsay Hunter who sparked a 7 - 0 run, and just like that the Pistons were up by fourteen.

The Spurs then cut The Pistons lead to twelve, but Lindsay made a steal and knocked down a shot to put The Pistons back up by fourteen. The Spurs were only able to cut The Piston lead to ten. The Pistons beat the Spurs 90 - 80.

Rasheed Wallace was excellent he had 23 points, 15 rebounds, two blocks and three steals. Lindsay Hunter finished with 7 points and a steal. Rip Hamilton - 18 pts. Tayshaun Prince - 17 pts. Chauncey Billups - 13 pts; 6 assists.

The Real Pistons Didn't Show Up Against The Mavericks

If you didn't see the game last night, be glad you didn't! It was ugly. I'm not even going to go into details, I'll just say this...The Pistons got torched by The Mavericks.

I mean, the way the Mavericks were shooting lights-out, they could've made those shots blind-folded with their hands behind their backs.

On the other hand though, I don't feel too bad about the lost. Had The Pistons played their best and lost I would be worried, but they didn't.

They looked timid, they looked nervous, they were missing all kinds of shots. They weren't playing any type of defense...In fact, the way The Pistons played, I give them credit for only losing by sixteen points.

I think The Pistons felt some pressure. Mind you, They have been having blow-out wins against opponents, but it was down-played because of the fact that the opponents they were torching wasn't as elite. So, when the Piston's had to play against a great team like the Mavericks, I'm sure they felt some pressure to prove themselves. even though they probably wouldn't like to admit it.

On top of that, I don't think they got over losing to The Celtics. In fact, they probably took the lost more seriously than they normally would have, because of Rasheed Wallace.

Rasheed is the teams emotional leader. So when he went skipped going to the Locker Room and went straight home after they lost to The Celtics, it only caused his teammates to dwell on that particular lost longer than usual. Rasheed is smart, so I'm sure he realizes his mistake.

The Pistons will be ready for the Spurs tonight though. At least I hope so. The game is at 8:00 on TNT

Walter Herrmann Play Some D Against Dirk Nowitzki

When Walter Herrmann first came to the Pistons, I didn't know what to expect. I thought to myself..."who is this guy?" "He looks like a character from Lord Of The Rings"?

Well, I have to say after seeing him play in just three games for the Pistons, I'm impressed. In fact I instantly became a fan of his the very first day he played for the Pistons.

You know what impressed me though, more than anything? The great defense he played against The Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki.

Yep, he may look like a character from Lord of Rings, but he's certainly no fairy.

What The Pistons Need To Do In Order To Win The Championship

Alright,The Pistons are deeper than they've been in four years. They have guys who can come off the bench and score without any drop-off, which gives the starters valuable rest. They have guys who are able to penetrate and drive to the basket, such as Rodney Stuckey, Aaron Afflalo, and Walter Herrmann. Before that they only had Carlos Delfino. They seem to have gotten rid of their complacency, which was a real drag last season...So what else do The Pistons need to win the Championship?

1) Move The Ball

The Pistons need to continue to move the ball. When they're not moving the ball, they're not playing as a team, and not playing as a team means that they're not utilizing the weapons that makes this team great (Tayshaun Prince for example). They can not afford to get caught up in individual match ups like they did in the game against The Celtics, which they lost on Jan 6th.

2) Be Vocal

In the first game the Pistons played against the Celtics, Tayshaun Prince gave Chauncey Billups some good advice. It was late in the fourth quarter and the Pistons had possession of the ball. Tayshaun told Chauncey to do a pump fake instead of trying to take the shot. Chauncey listened, made a pump fake, got fouled and won the game by knocking down two free throws. Hence, The Pistons Should remember that although Chauncey is the leader, and is therefore the one who usually gives advice, he too could use some advice sometimes. That's how you help each other as a team.

3) Stay Aggressive

I don't mean to sound like Cesar Millan, but Chauncey is the pack leader. When he's aggressive, his teammates are aggressive. That's why its important for him to be aggressive at all times. You cant' go wrong when you're aggressive.

4) Keep Cool

When The Pistons, mainly Rasheed Wallace gets into it with the refs, he not only loses focus, but the whole team starts to lose their focus. Hence, arguing with the refs is nothing more than a distraction. To give Rasheed credit though, hes done a pretty good job of keeping his cool this year. Him and his teammates should practice that more often.

5) Don't Take Bad Shots

Last year's playoffs was like a nightmare. I watched in awe as Rip Hamilton repeatedly tried to score over seven foot guys while getting his shot blocked over and over again. To give Rip credit though, he seems to be a whole lot smarter this season. Now when there's a big in front of him, he smartly passes to another teammate.

The Pistons Lose To The Celtics

It was an off night for the Pistons offensively, partly because of foul trouble. In the first quarter Antonio McDyess, who have been excellent for most of this season, picked up two quick fouls and had to sit.

Jason Maxiell on the other hand was great. With The Pistons down 10 - 3 to the Celtics, Maxiell started a surge that led to the Pistons scoring 17 straight. The Pistons led 22 - 12 at the end of the first.

The Celtics however made a come back in the second quarter erasing the Pistons ten point lead and tying the game 41 - 41.

Then Rip Hamilton made a shot to put the Pistons back up by two. The Pistons led 43 - 41 at half-time.

The second half was pretty much a wrestling match.

In the third quarter The Celtics tied with the Pistons four times. With the game tied 61 - 61, Rip Hamilton made a point off of a technical foul, giving the Pistons a one point lead. Then Chauncey Billups made two points off of a Celtics foul, pushing The Pistons lead up to three.

The Pistons led 64 - 61, but Paul Pierce made a shot cutting The Pistons lead to one. Then with the pistons leading 63 - 64, Antonio McDyess finally scored a point to put the Pistons lead back up to three at the end of the third. The Pistons led 66 - 63.

In the fourth quarter The Celtics just continued to hound The Pistons. The Celtics made a run giving them a five point lead. The Pistons fought back and cut their lead to three, but Paul Pierce made a steal and pushed the Celtics lead back up to five.

Then the Pistons starting missing their free throws. Rip Hamilton after being fouled by Eddy House, made one of two. Then, Chauncey Billups after being fould by Paul Peirce missed both free throws.

The Pistons finally pulled the game within three, and could've forced the game into overtime, but Chauncey missed a three point that would have tied the game 88 - 88. The Celtics beat The Pistons 92 - 85.

The Pistons Second Unit Help Beat Raptors
